Good News: God loves Us, All of Us!
That is right God loves every single human being exactly the same, we are all
precious to Him.
But I thought God was angry with man because we are so bad? More Good News: God was not
pleased with the state man was in (that is the state of being out of right standing with God and
in sin) so He did something about it.
Really I thought I was supposed to do something or stop doing something to get right with God?
No No No and again No!
God did it all! He sent His Son Jesus to be a man and Jesus paid the price for all the wrong
doings of all men. Death on the cross. Just as one man Adam got us in this mess so one man
Jesus gets us out. After Jesus died on the cross God raised Him up again. That shows that the
payment for all sin of all men was accepted! God is no longer angry with man! Yes you read it
right God is no longer angry with man because of sin. Jesus has paid the full cost of all sin for
all time!
So the barrier of sin is out the way and any man is now free to be in right standing with God
and actually be a friend of God! That is correct You can be a Friend of God!
So how exactly can I be a friend of God? Simple, if you believe and say this it will be so for
you: God I believe that Jesus died on the cross and paid for all my sin and I believe that He
was raised again. Jesus thank you for dying in my place please come into my life and be my Lord.
If you said that and believed it something beautiful has just happened to you that words can
hardly discribe! You are a brand new person!
Here is what the Bible says :
Romans 10:9-10
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead,
you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold,
new things have come. 18 Now all
these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the
ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them,
and He has committed to us
the word of reconciliation.
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though
God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
